Tracking All Leads in Search for Santos
Since the disappearance two weeks ago of a 30-year of Burbank woman, Burbank police are continuing their investigation and using every tool in their arsenal.
Sharon Anne Santos was last seen Aug. 17 by co-worker at Warner Bros. Entertainment, where she worked as a financial analyst. She returned to her apartment in the 1500 block of Scott Road and has not been seen since. Her car is also missing.
"Where foul play is involved, those are a small minority of missing persons cases," said Robert Scott, a licensed private investigator in Los Angeles. "I would say 5% or less."
Scott, owner of Inter-Agency Investigations, said that his agency's investigations often run parallel with a police investigation and at times information is shared."
The agency's investigators will interview family and friends to determine if the disappearance is voluntary, due to such factors as mental disorder, emotional distress, drug and alcohol abuse or trying to evade financial obligations, Scott said.
A check is also made of cell phone and credit card activity and of computer activity prior to the disappearance, Scott said.
